Book Two in the Rand series

Flying Blue Fjords, Bramble Hawks, Sirens, Dark Hollow Wizards, Time Guardians and Mind Walkers to name but a few; book two in the Rand series sees readers embark upon an epic quest into the heart of the long ago Forgotten Realms of Rand.

A continuation of book one, The Forgotten Realms is no less magical than it’s predecessor. The journey begins in Arcadia, as Savannah searches for the help she needs to unravel the black magic spell entwined within the Prophecy Chart. Her aim in doing so? To bring down the Wall that divides the magical and enchanting Forgotten Realms from the rest of Rand.

But all is not as it seems and not all those who have been abandoned by their brethren, wish to re-take their places within Rand’s society.

The unravelling of the secrets surrounding the Circle of Sheda continues to be an arduous and dangerous task for Savannah and whilst she battles the evil forces who would wage war on Rand, readers are treated to the blossoming of new Queens, new Consorts and new love!

Throughout The Forgotten Realms there is a depth to Shaw’s writing which wholeheartedly succeeds in captivating the reader. Whilst old favourites such as Savannah and Pela (and let’s not forget Sunflower) make a return, numerous new characters are introduced, each with their own back story and an integral part to play in this ever expanding fantasy puzzle.

Whilst Savannah may have found herself being drawn through a portal from Earth to Rand, one thing’s for sure – Shaw equally knows how to ensure her readers fall deeply into the pages of her stories. It’s been a pleasure to get lost in yet another installment of this fantastic series and i sincerely can’t wait for the next one!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
